This is a cafe “Tegarayama Port” in Tegara, Himeji City.
It’s spinning cafe like a merry-go-round.
Since the cafe rooms goes around, customers have views of Himeji City. (One spin is about 14 minutes)
It’s my first time to visit this cafe, the spinning is comfortable and slow and it has my face like this.
Children were interested in the scenery at first only, then they get crazy about their pancakes and coke topped off with ice cream.
Himeji City has announced that they will close it this spring because of the decrepit problem as it’s been already about 50 years.
All in all, there might be a little time to enjoy this merry-go-round cafe.
You can see Himeji Castle from here.
Or perhaps you can see it?
Because it is quite often overlooked, you might be able to find it in about 2 spins.
Please ask a waitress if you can’t. (hahaha)
Their menu is simple.
Here is a place to enjoy the scenery, not a place to enjoy eating.
By the way, it’s a good idea to come to the cafe by car, but you can see retro buildings if you walk to here from Himeji Station.
I will upload the route with pics next time so please give me a little more time.
